Nothing in the law says a fixed stock has to be permanent. If its no longer adjustable, its good to go.

Nothing says the law is permanent but a prosecutor can easily show the jury that wouldn't be of your actual peers that it'll collapse with the turn of a screw.
Why go through all that BS when you can just buy a fixed stock at any length you want?

Rhetorical question lol but what do you do about the pistol grip with a conventional stock? And if you're building featureless why spend the money on a collapsible stock just buy a fixed stock.

Some Fixed stocks are almost free. Most can be had used at gunshows for 10-20$
I had complete adjustable sticks with all the internals end plates etc etc for $45-50$. fixed magpul start at $30+ just for the stock.
