I’m sure they plan on using NICS in a negative way to further deny firearms ownership. Not pursuing criminal charges is not the same as getting a warrant to confiscate your firearms after being notified you are in non- compliance and your license has been revoked! Andy wants your guns not tying up the criminal Courts and he could care less about the Civil Courts!
Also the FBI will be notify you were in violation of your pistol license and most likely now not pass a NICS!

I’m sending my PP back to Wastechester for them to do as they please, since I don’t need it anymore and don’t want them to put a black mark on NICS.That is just my point! And that will fallow even if you move out of State!

Yep, I’m paranoid, but this is NY we’re talking about, yes?
I could I suppose. Why not try to recert it even with your out of state address?
I could I suppose.
I guess it’s better to play the recert game and let them make the move. What's the worse they can do say oh no this isn't valid any more

correctWhy would they bother coming for you. They have everything about you at their finger tips, in their patrol car. A simple failure to keep right, there was a rash of those not too long ago, or a burned out license plate bulb, that mysteriously heals itself, and voila, your day just turned to shit.

To confiscate long guns makes no sense unless the non recertifier is now charged with a felony for illegal possession of a handgun
objective .... disarm the population .. After all a felon cannot own guns .. This spells it out clear ... No recert ... automatic felon ..Well seeing as it is written into the penal law yes they can confiscate them
so much BS out there.
From Oneida County site: "The recertification application is just like a pistol permit application without the references. The applicant is required to list all arrests, drug or alcohol treatment, mental illness or family court petition or charge."
when actually there is NO where that asks that

Do we trust the government ?The statement by the NYSP is really a bunch of bullshit. Here's why:
They are STILL going to turn over the lists of who has and hasn't recertified to the counties. That means that the counties will know if you have or have not recertified. There is nothing preventing the judges (remember, the 'issuing authority') from proceeding with a revocation hearing and having all your guns seized. And if it comes down as a result of a court order, there is absolutely NO discretion on part of law-enforcement.
They used a whole lot of words to say absolutely nothing.
Do we trust the government ?
Hell no.Do we trust the government ?
