Thats what I bought based on reading extensive reviews, althoughI have my optic mounted on a different slide that was milled for the optic so I have tested it out. I have no reason to expect anything other than a solid product when I do end up using it.Forward Controls Design's.. #1
For something with an ACRO footprint..... Tango Downs ... which FCD also sells as well with their logo on it but is very up front that it is made by Tango Downs and that there is no need to improve on their design
Irons forward for the win!Other option... cost a bit more but gives some extra capability.
Send it to Agency Arms for their AOS cut... this then uses their plates which let you choose irons Forward or rear of optic. But can switch if you want with a plate change
Irons forward for the win!
I need to investigate the irons forward option
Irons forward has many benefits, one of the nice benefits and the main reason I prefer it is you’ll never lose your red dot behind the irons themselves. With irons rearward, the irons physically block your view of the bottom section of the optic’s glass. So if you present your pistol and you didn’t get the perfect draw, sight alignment, and you end up with the reticle somewhere in the bottom of the window, your irons being rearward have a very good chance of obscuring your view of the reticle. Run that exact same scenario with irons forward and you’ll still see the reticle, it’ll just be superimposed over the rear sight and the reticle is still usable.I need to investigate the irons forward option
