Pistol ranges that rent handguns in NY state?

I don't know of any. I know some states have a lot of them.. I would like to try out a few different handguns next time before I buy if possible.. It really sucks blowing $500 on a pistol, putting 50 rounds through it, realizing its not really the gun for you for whatever reason , and then being offered $150 towards the next $500 pistol you are considering.. Got to be a better way to see if a gun is really what you want instead of being forced to always buy before you try...
If anyone can let a me know of a range that has rental guns within say 100 miles of Tioga County NY, I would appreciate it... bob

Yup, this. Narrowed my search down to the Glock 19 or the 48 and went to the range and rented both, made it easy to decide. They have a list of available firearms on their site.

Maybe not. I have been looking for gun ranges in PA and they all seem to be in the extreme south or the extreme west of the state.

Not sure how far from Kingston NY you are but there is an indoor range ( Safe Shoot ) that have a few you can rent. Nice range and good people.

Great spot. Good number of rifles and tons of pistols and they don't care if you do a mag then back for another pistol right away, and they don't charge extra per gun swap.

BTW a growing thing among gun ranges that rent guns is that if you're by yourself they will not rent you a gun unless you bring one or have a pistol permit. Some have gone to ranges, rented a gun, and kill themselves.

Go check out Seneca Gun Sports. They have a small indoor range for trying before you buy

Ok, been there already.. Didn't know they had a range of any type... problem there is they are always a lot higher than anyone else in price,, Nice enough guys, just very pricey... bob

Are you referring to Seneca guns?? Yea heard on the radio 6 months ago or something they have an indoor range to try out guns
