Ok so trying to understand how this works. If I wanted to sell a pistol to a friend do we just both have to go to the FFL for the transfer with the pistol and do the paperwork?
Yes, you set up a time to meet up at an ffl, you do the transfer, you'll get paperwork to take the pistol off your permit and the buyer will get paperwork to add the pistol to his. At that point you are done with the ffl and just have to amend your permit. The buyer then just waits for their amendment and goes back to the ffl to complete the transaction and pick up the pistol.Ok so trying to understand how this works. Gun control at its finest?Yes, you set up a time to meet up at an ffl, you do the transfer, you'll get paperwork to take the pistol off your permit and the buyer will get paperwork to add the pistol to his. I,d assume there will be a transfer fee from the ffl.
When I did a private pistol purchase we exchanged money at the ffl's.Ok kind of what I thought. The FFL doesn't have to see the money change hands though? Just want to do this all right.

I don't think it does. That was just how it worked out for me.Ok gotcha but doesn't have to be done like that or does it.?
Those are rookie numbers! It's my normal FFL and have a very good relationship with them and don't believe there would be any hidden fees just the transfer fee. They are awesome. Six firearms have gone through them for me in the last year.
