It seems to me that if something like this has to be done. The hours between 3am and 7am is the worst time to do it. It reminds me of the saying, nothing good happens after 2am.

They don’t really defund them per se it’s more like things that they don’t feel is important they won’t respond to at night because they don’t have the manpower. This will get worse and why would anyone want to be a cop these days.

I thought about this and notice that they say "at police stations"? I take that to mean that all the desk cops that normally would be sitting at a desk and now will be cruising the streets in a car. Or I could be wrong and they just don't have the manpower, if that's the case the people are screwed!

Their priorities are precisely backwards.
State and local governments shouldn't be allowed to keep money from fines. They should have to turn it over to the federal Department of the Treasury.
A fine is acceptable as a punishment, but it should not be a revenue source.
