Places that do Cerakote

Does anyone here have any experience with companies that offer cerakote servicing for gun parts? I'm in the midst of two new rifle builds and was thinking about sending out some parts (upper, lower, and maybe handguard) out to be cerakoted. Just curious about prices and quality and if you liked/didn't like a job.

That place I would never recommend. He did a nice paint job on my buddies gun but filled the trigger with sand and ruined it. Filled the bolt full of sand but we fixed it and got sand in the barrel. He blamed my buddy for wanting a deal, said that's what you get when you don't pay extra for a gunsmith. That place is a joke

Dont know him or connected to him any ways but should have stripped the gun yourself, he sands blasts it before coating. So I wouldn't blame him for getting sand every where.

You dont blame him for getting sand everywhere? Seriously? So you take a gun to a shop to have a job done and expect it to come back worse than when you brought it? Why is it the customers responsibility to take the gun apart? Isnt it the job of the shop to know how to do the job he is doing and what to cover in the process? I could see this happening if the guy knew nothing about guns and how they work or has never sandblasted anything before. My buddy got screwed by a shitty business.

Not ceracote but depending on the color you want. Mark does stellar work. IIRC he also does factory refinishing for HK. He is reasonably priced for the work that he does, it can take a while as he is popular and he comes across as a curmudgeon. Anything I want done in black or grey goes to him.

Local to me I have used east coast bluing for both bluing and ceracote. Did a nice job on both.

Sorry for taking so long to write back. Been busy lately with a lot of things and have only been on the board some recently. I'm ok with waiting especially if it's a quality product. Not doing a budget build but also not looking to pay top dollar either. What are some of the nationally recognized places? Sorry, I really know nothing about cerakote and am new to it.

Probably not the nearest option except for us southern tier folks, but thought it was worth a mention.
