When are these freaking no knock warrants gonna get reigned in? Seriously, these scenarios are frustrating to learn about.

And the officers involved won’t be held liable. “Official actions” and all that b.s. meanwhile the tax payers will foot the bill for the successful lawsuit.

Didnt see if the article mentioned it but I believe the husband or boyfriend is also facing jail time for shooting at what he believed to he (and actually would be correct) home invaders

So not only did the department fuck up, they killed someone, and now they are also ruining a mans life (even more so than they already have between the home invasion and the killing of his significant other) by arresting him

Well I know they always end up charging someone with attempted murder in these situations.

Like literally every botched no knock raid, if someone inside defends themselves from a violent encounter they are then charged with attempted murder or something similar

This wasn’t a no-knock warrant. They didn’t have a warrant. This was cops who did something incredibly stupid. Being that there was no warrant, they broke the law and will likely be charged.

Honestly it doesn’t matter if it was a warrant or not. They went into the wrong house. At that point, even if they had a warrant, it’s invalid. It’s only valid for the right house.

You just can’t use a warrant on any house you please. So their immunity is gone and the attempted murder charge shouldn’t be allowed to stick.

A) there was a warrant and they busted the door down to the wrong home shot and killed a woman and then arrested a man for defending himself from a home invasion and charged him with attempted murder

Or

B) there was no warrant at all and they busted down the door or a home shooting and killing a woman and then arresting a man for defending himself from a home invasion and charging him with attempted murder

They never do in these situations.. it's happened before. Cops kick in wrong door and shoot/kill someone and get shot at and charge the people with attempted murder..

There were a total of 16,214 reported murder and non-negligent manslaughter cases in the U.S. in 2018. If lucky, without research, we here about maybe, what 1000 every year. Maybe if all of America was aware of these types of numbers, people might actually be really outraged and we could live in a safer Country.

I live in a condo complex. The Orange County Sheriffs came to investigate that my wife lives there when she applied for her pistol license. These clowns left a note on my neighbors door downstairs that they knocked and no one answered. We had to call them and tell them that they went to the wrong door.

What can be done? A war against police every time they conduct one to stop them from doing it? Because you know as much as I do that letters to a judge to put a stop to this is like me writing Cuomo to open up business and repeal the safe act.
