Odd to see this as a post rather than a contact through our contact form or a message to an admin, but due to the fact that we get this request sometimes I think this can be used as a source of information on the topic for other users.
Generally speaking, we do not delete accounts (at least in the way you mean). The way the Xenforo forum software works, if we were to delete an account all that would happen is that the user would no longer have access to it. The user title (in our case the caliber ranking) would change to 'Guest', and the username would stay the same but direct to a 'No profile here' sort of thing when clicked. Posts would stay intact under the username and the guest title; which makes it functionally identical to a ban while being considerably more messy in the system in regard to quotes, replies, PMs, etc. We could of course remove all posts as an additional step, but that would cause the issue of continuity of content; wherein the forum would have 'holes' wherever the user had posted, including removing entire threads and everyone else's posts wherever the user had been the thread starter and being . It's also very messy within the system's internal workings to do that. So, unless there was some very good reason to do that, we wouldn't. We have no issue at all removing any specific post that might endanger someone's identity or personal information or anything like that.
That all said, sometimes we do get the request by a user to 'close' their account by banning it and therefore deny them access. I've never quite understood why this would be preferable to simply not logging in anymore, but we'll do it if asked.
