Now that I have 5 acres to mow I'm on the lawnmower for a long time. I have also started to notice my hearing is a little off after all that time on it. So my thought is I would use my Howard leight and plug my phone into them.

So 2 questions has anyone tried this with their hearing protection? Does anyone have any podcasts to recommend or know how to do this.

I do the same when I'm mowing. I also listen while I'm driving.

Pick a podcast app - I use Podcast Addict. Then pick the podcasts you want to listen to. I listen to Gun Talk, NRA News, Slamfire Radio, Armed American Radio and a few non-gun podcasts. I hardly ever turn the radio on in the car any more.

I've used these at work with success. They are cheap, work as hearing protection, and you are able to listen to podcasts and audio books clearly.

Last year I used a pair of these on the mower.

They are Bluetooth so no wires from smartphone. Worked great until the earbud wire got hooked on a low branch and now only one side works.

Now I use an older pair of Sony noise canceling ear buds. Cancels out the drone of the mower well but I have to deal with wires.

I like the ear buds idea. I just figured I already owned the Howard leight for normal range work why not use them here too.

I download a few different episodes from an fee guys. I might try it today if I can escape for a few hours.

Me too my daily commute is 45 min one way. I usually listen to talk radio. Were lucky having a half way decent am channel in my area.

I drive about 50-55min each way to work and home and used to enjoy putting on a lot of YouTube videos (didnt watch but would listen) forgotten weapons is a go to since pretty much everything else has slowed down thanks to the new YouTube
