I was just listening to some of the reporting surrounding the Florida high school shooting. I repeatedly heard Parkland students say that they do not believe in having armed guards and armed teachers in schools because they do not want to feel like they are in prison. They want other ways to protect their schools, including firearms restrictions.
To those students I'd ask: Okay...well...when you're not in school, and you've been successful in your campaign to disarm law-abiding citizens, how will you protect yourselves after you graduate and move out on your own to live in places that do not have 24/7 police protection or even the protections that you insist on for schools? Don't you think that your campaign to disarm law-abiding citizens, and your future selves, is shortsighted?
