But the devices can also disrupt emergency calls placed by individuals who are not being monitored. I used to think snowden was a traitor. My views have evolved to think of him as more of a patriot. I'm really surprised that I have changed my opinion so much from one end of the spectrum to the other.

The fact that the cops get a pass on all the FCC regs they break everything they power one of these up, is part of why there is so much resentment.

They get licenses and follow the process for the rest of their radios, why not these ?

If I did this I'd be in prison, yet there is no exemption in the law for them, so why aren't they ?

The more I learn about the gov the less I feel motivated to follow the laws. They don't set a great example for citizens.
