I see a lot of the "like new" mini-14's going for around that price; but I have to admit - I really like the wood furniture version better. I think they call that the "Ranch" version. Something about wood on a firearm is so sexy. Black plastic; not so much.

M14 too. I had the SA M1A Scout in that black ABS and hated it. I sold it as soon as I could find a buyer and only kept the wood match one. Look how lame it looked next to me wood one.

I have a wood Ranch ... just wish off brand mags worked .. GRRR .. 45 bucks for any size mag .. Grrrr ..

If you want a mini 14...might be worth the price. They aint cheap brand new.

They most likely won't be. You can add a barrel strut to the old ones to help stabilize the barrel and improve accuracy though.

ya that doesn't really help once it gets Hot!
I have and shoot both, we took off the strut. i didn't see the difference if you you shot it a lot
