Akron, Ohio Prepares for Riots After Police Reportedly Shot Fleeing Black Man 60 Times; 4th of July Festival Canceled​

Heavy duty trucks were parked in front of police headquarters in Akron Friday morning as the northeast Ohio city is on edge after reports a Black man fleeing a traffic stop Monday was shot and killed by eight police officers who reportedly fired ninety rounds–hitting the man, 25-year-old Jayland Walker, sixty times. Akron announced Thursday the city’s four-day Rib, White and Blue Festival was being canceled, however there are still fireworks displays planned for Monday.

WKYC-TV reporter Austin Love, “With the potential of unrest in Akron, snow plows are being used as street barriers surrounding the area of the Akron Police Department. This in the wake of the shooting death of 25 year old Jayland Walker. I have details this morning on @wkyc”

Getting 11 or so rounds off before the bad guy hits the ground doesn't seem too unusual in many of the shooting videos I've seen. Multiply that by 8 cops and the guy is hamburger before he hits the ground.

Will be interesting to see what happens. I maintain the riots of 2020 were deliberately stoked by the democrats and the press to make trump look bad. The lack of riots in 2021 and 2022 support this theory because black men were shot in those years and yet nothing happened.

There won't be any Soros funded blm groups organizing riots and leaving bricks around. However, Joe & co. have fucked things up so badly that something spontaneous might just erupt.

I know I'm old, but in my US military police training we were trained (revolvers) to fire twice and then evaluate the situation...modern videos seem to show cops (spray-and-pray) empty the 17 round mag like Jerry Miculek..then repeat

Eight Cops - Ninety rounds–hit the man, sixty times. Hmmmm! Pretty good shooting for cops.
In NY it would read 8 cops shot 99 times hitting the suspect 3 times along with 42 civilians 7 hunters and a cow.

Couple years ago at our range I had a steel 2/3 IPSC target out at 10 yards on a portable stand. A large gust of wind came up and rocked it back while I was shooting it.

Between the time I realized it wasn't going to right itself, and when it actually hit the ground I was able to put 4 rounds into it from my G26.

I'm not a bad shot, but I'm noting special, and a G26 is not a G17 when it comes to rapid fire controllability.

NAACP President Derrick Johnson described Walker's death in a statement Sunday as a "murder" and said pulling over for police "is often a death sentence."

These are great talking points for the sheep, but, from what i read, he didn't pull over, he led them on a chase, first by car, then on foot. I imagine if he had just pulled over, he would be alive.
