We were watching the launch live (also 6th grade). Because the "teacher in space" was onboard.

This led to a massive series of jokes in very bad taste. Most of which were hilarious (if disturbingly morbid....) for a 6th grader. Anyone else remember them ? Christa McCaliff's favorite shampoo ? anyone ?

Wow. I can't remember how many times my girlfriend and I were sitting watching LMS and me saying I don't know how they get away with that. I was surprised that in his office and at home you would see AKs, ARs and pistols hanging on the walls. I guess the butthurt caught up to the show.

10th grade, here. Just got back to the school from open lunch off campus and someone said, "The space shuttle exploded." We said, "Pfft. No way." Then we saw the replays on televisions in a few rooms.
