Lefties just can't do humor very well - their anger and need to make a point get in the way.

I used to subscribe to a monthly newspaper called the "funny times" many years ago. It essentially collected political cartoons and humorous articles from newspapers and magazines across the country. But something strange happened when George Bush was elected president. Most of the cartoons became more angry than funny. It was the beginning of the woke left becoming intolerant of other viewpoints in my opinion. I finally wrote a letter and canceled my subscription telling the editors their paper simply was becoming more scolding and ceased being funny.
