What Chris lacks that his father had was trustworthiness.

Old school journalists understood that their reputation for fairness and impartiality was their only important asset and it needed to be carefully cultivated.

Modern journalists think their platform is their asset and should be exploited to push their political positions.

They are not the same.

In 2006 I just randomly met Mike Wallace on the street in NYC, he stopped, just let his limo wait idling in the street and talked to a few of my family members for quite some time. Based on a brief comment during this several minute encounter, he made it clear he had no respect for his son's work or ethics.
