If you want people to read your posts you need to make it less difficult to do.

The board appears to resample them to the size you scale them to, which, is at most the width of the forum's text pane.

It might avoid doing that if we leave the image as an unrendered thumbnail, maybe. But then you'd need to click on the thumbnail. Guess we'll have to find out!
