My wife's uncle went to Cuba last summer on a cruise. he said everything is free and they literally have no work ethic. NO one works. They get free milk for their babies, but nothing to put the milk in, so they wait at the docks for the cruise ships and them beg the tourist for their water bottles.

He drove around in a beautiful 1955 Belaire, with a VW diesel engine, a Ford transmission and a Chevy rear end with bald tires. Cars are handed down from generation to generation.

Medicine is free, but they don't have drugs or very little of what they need. everything is in short supply. These people don't know any different. its how they are brought up.
