Even my father, WWII vet and "war hawk" conservative told my two brothers to head to Canada if their numbers came up (the numbers were very low) and he would send them money.
Kent state, etc, our government has been crap for a long time.

I am neither defending nor disparaging our government, or the draft. I am simply stating a fact that some on here may not be aware of. Cassius Clay, as he was known then, dodged the draft, because he thought he was special, and was in the prime of his burgeoning boxing career, and later changed his name to Mohammed Ali.

That is all.
