Completely ignoring the fact that it has been sexual deviants (homosexuals, pedophiles, rapist, etc.) that entrenched themselves into positions where they could commit crimes against Children and those subservient to the positions of authority.
We taught Christian formation Classes, I was a Cub Master and Den Leader for Scouts and in both I was investigated and thoroughly vetted.
Politicians are not subjected to the same scrutinization, but they should be and with higher standards and disqualifiers.
You cannot prejudice every person placed in a position of trust and authority as guilty of the crimes a few who did, nor is every "Drag Queen" a groomer of children... you cannot convict in mass and call it a fair trial.
