If all your prepping resources are based around weapons, then your strategy is going to be to take what you want from the people who have what you need.

It's an asshole strategy, but it's not likely to be any less successful than the "hoard my food" strategy.

Farmers grow food for warlords. It's a pretty universal thing. It's also a pretty shitty arrangement for the farmer.
