Whoa, I didn’t write the meme. Lol.The idea of ballots without serial numbers is to prevent voter intimidation.
Think of this: What if the Democrats of today knew who had voted against them by looking at "ballot registrations"? They could effectively target anyone not voting for them with their weaponized DoJ (even more so than they are now!).
But, there still needs to be a method to verify that only legitimate U.S. Citizens participate in the vote. Hence, ID the voter at the time they register to vote, and at the time they cast the ballot. This ensures fair and secure elections (theoretically).
The general idea of serialized ballots seems like a good idea - NOT the idea of a ballot being assigned to an individual.
Think of it like the money you have in your wallet. The $20 bill in your wallet has a serial number, but nobody but you knows which bill you have.
If ballots were serialized, I supposed it “could” prevent things like thousands of ballots “appearing” in the middle of the night.
A check for false and/or duplicate numbers could possibly help to reduce fraud.
