Social Security has been weaponized by the Left for decades; every election cycle they bring out "The Republicans are going to cut Social Security..." (which they never do) but it keeps those dependent on it in fear, so they vote Democrat,

Welcome from us NY'ers and those in CA to all the business owners in MA who will now have a "credit reduction" on your 2025 FUTA 940. Translation, the state stole from the state tax payer by not paying the state share into the federal unemployment insurance program (FUTA) and used the money for what ever slush fund or money laundering scheme they chose. Now the business owners of those states not only have to pay their share of the cost, but also an additional amount to cover the state portion (in NY: 2022 +50%, 2023 +100%, 2024 +150%). Thanks Democrats, we couldn't do it without you.

Education should be paid for through grants to the states from the Fed Govt based upon population and to a degree location (it costs more to heat schools in Alaska for instance). It could also be paid for in whole or in part by state sales taxes which all pay into. It used to be, before property taxes, that you could subsistence live on property you owned, but that is now impossible with property taxes. Miss a rent tax payment to the state and they confiscate your land. In the UK, the Crown owns all the land and you just rent it, like a trailer park. Property taxes make you into a renter and not an owner of your property. You don't pay a tax on unrealized stock market gains and should not on property through assessments and property taxes. Don't get me wrong, the money has to come from somewhere, but as is more obvious everyday, we already have sufficient tax money in our country to pay for everything we need to fund and could do so if it was not given away to bribery, fraud, theft and money laundering.
