I don't know about a scam.
I put my name, address, vin#, insurance info, credit card info, and social security number in and they said some one will be contacting me.
Wait, that was fast two guys in my driveway starting my truck and taking it for a spin; I'm sure they will find everything in order, Ill let you know when they get back and give me the new policy.

Don't get me wrong, the tax money to pay doesn't have to come from Internal Revenue Taxpayers, but could come from External Revenue Taxpayers. As Spat says, there is no reason to send our money to DC and then only get a small portion of it back. Better that it come from somewhere other than the American public and then get turned over to the the American public at the state or local level for the most part. The closer the money gets to the people, the better it will be spent for the benefit of the people.

Government shouldn't be in the business of wealth redistribution at all.

Agree other than distribution of External Revenue Service money should be given to states and localities rather than any money coming from the People to the Federal Government for distribution to others.
