From what I've surfed and read, she was part Abenaki, part Seneca - if you believe WikiStupedia. Doubt they'd have reason to lie about this, it's apolitical. Both groups are primarily Northeastern tribes, but the Abenaki are/were part of the Wabanaki Confederacy, while the Senecas are/were part of the Iroquois League (Six Nations or Haudenosaunee).

Algonquin is primarily a language group designation, of which the Abenaki are a part. The Seneca, and other members of the Six Nations, are part of the Iroquoian language group.

Right.
the article I read was on her grandparent which said Algonquian, but there seems to several tribes that fall under that some that I never heard of.
