It is a horse trailer. Notice that the back ramp was down as the trailer leaves the crowd, but the ramp is back up after the driver stops near the police. - I'm guessing the 'protesters' attempted to release the horses. That is a damn good reason to drive through to escape. If they had succeeded in getting the door of the trailer open, what kind of injuries would have occurred as the horses were set free on the street?

I'd be More worried about the potential injuries to the horses than the horses asses. Too bad the video moves. I bet the troopers/police put the gate back up so he could get out of there.
