Pep rallies have value.

It's true that all the people going to the rallies were going to vote for Trump regardless.

But, what *else* they do is also valuable. All those millions of rallygoers can persuade the independents around them.

So, you're not trying to convince Joe plumber in the MAGA hat to vote for you. You're getting him to convince his apprentice, and his buddies at the bar, and you're arming him with talking points to use to convince them.
