Actually the Pythagorean Theorem is probably one of the most important and practical things I learned in school. I use it a lot to layout decks, additions and etc. Right up there with sewing on buttons that I learned in home economics. There is a whole lot of other crap I learned though that could be added to the bottom of this meme. For instance, I have never ever needed to use trigonometry, recall the atomic weight of any element, play hot cross buns on a tonette, build a longhouse diorama or decipher an authors supposed symbolism in my everyday life.
