Rammy knew he wouldn't win. He was hoping for VP or some other slot in Trumps administration. That's why he was playing nice nice with and about Trump, even after Trump went after him.

Hailey came in 3rd with all the moderates you claim love her, plus all the democrats who don't have a caucus of their own to vote in.

She doesn't have a chance in states that won't let Dems vote for the Republican nominee. She won't make it to the general election.

Iowa is a closed primary state so I’m not sure how much this plays in. I hear of this happening but it’s Iowa so I don’t know. I think the amount of people that do this is limited and plays a bigger impact on down ballot candidates as we saw for the Buffalo mayor. I’d have to look how many people showed up. I know it was cold so less may have come out than in years past so you might be right. I could see her having a bigger impact than people are saying and if the money keeps coming she will keep playing.

They all know they won't win. They're all just resume building and campaign contribution collecting. Building name recognition and a war chest for the 2028 election, where there will be no incumbent, no matter who wins this one.
