We have seen this insanity before.

Time and time again we read headlines: "SUV runs down child" "Guns kill people"

Always a totally inanimate object, harmless by itself, is to blame. Rarely the actual criminal.

Sandy Hook School demolished and replaced.

Why ? Do these buildings sprout arms and legs and kill innocents ?

Is replacing a building actually going to heal the wounds of families who lost children ?

Nothing more than modern paganism; squandering resources on frivilous window dressing; never addressing the real problems.

It is a side effect of refusing to blame the perpetrator.

If you offer excuses for the person who pulled the trigger, you have to displace the blame somewhere else.

That's why people are victims of "gun violence", if you said they were victims of homicide, you would have to admit what the demographic of the trigger pullers really is.

Of course the building isn't at fault, it was the mental defect that was. It just may be to painful to people to go there even if they agree with us on the gun thing. Hard for me to answer this since I don't have kids that go there.

It amazing how many people forget who Adam Lanza was. A mentally disturbed kid, WHO KILLED HIS MOTHER AS SHE SLEPT!

Then went to a elementary school and killed a lot of kids. But the problem was/is the gun, never the shooter

I find some equivalency with those that refuse to live, work, or learn in a structure where someone has died.

Obviously, the vast majority of people around the world do live in homes where someone has died. Likely dozens or more, depending on the age of the structure.

Still, a place where murder occurred ? Or where there was a dungeon (John Wayne Gacy) ?

How about living above a former graveyard ?

Still, a large school, a very expensive school, that experienced a single brief incident, though extremely tragic, I maintain is different.

What other schools have been torn down in the aftermath of a shooting tragedy? Sandy Hook was quickly demolished after the event which helped fuel speculation about the already strange narrative regarding the events there. Have there been any others?

Honestly I see Public Buildings sold needlessly all the time.

And not due to tragedy.

A beautiful Train Station, on a commuter rail line. Once kept passengers sheltered and safe. Sold to become a restaurant. Now commuters wait in the cold rain.

A local satellite library. Convenient to the neighborhood. Now a Hair Stylist.

And, of course, totally adequate Schools. Decades old, but strong and sound. Replaced with flimsy modern atrocities.

This happens everywhere.

As bleak as what happened is, the building is now a piece of, or part of history. Kids and adults who enter the building now have a standing example, a visible lesson about good and evil that can be explained to the youngsters. Just like statues of those from America's past, civil war soldiers from both the north and south, presidents, MLK, etc. People wanting to tear the school down would be on par with the libtards tearing down statues during the 2020 summer of love, and some assholes still want more statues torn down/removed. It appears that kids now days are in for turbulent times ahead. Sad, but I believe it's best to start preparing and hardening them now for whatever comes along.
