In fact, I cannot imagine any abomination Democrats would fail to support if it resulted in Americans suffering so as to weaken Trump.

There are both domestic and foreign operatives running intelligence ops and working to make sure we keep having terrorist events in this country so they can ram through Patriot Act 2.0 once they have the votes for it secured and pre-counted.
