I built one to shoot in PA with. I like it quite a bit. It has it's quirks but it's been dead nutz reliable.

Some people have modified them to take the gen 4 slide and recoil assemblies.

Just out of curiosity, what makes a Gen 4 recoil system better to go through all the trouble of not using Gen 3 parts and doing extra work to make it accept a Gen 4 recoil system?

Disassembly isn't as smooth as a normal Glock. It sticks a bit. And you really have to be careful not to overdrill the holes. I think I may have gone a bit too far on the one in the grip cause it has a tendency to walk a bit. Takes a little over 200 rounds but I have to watch out for it.

I may or may not know someone who built one of these specifically for competition use and after some minor tweaking and a barrel change, has had zero hiccups.

Edit: they may or may not have used the version with the 19 grip, 17 slide.

Nothing but if someone has a gen 4 slide and doesnt feel like spending money on a gen 3 slide

Find the next size up roll pin and that should solve your issues. Or since it is a polymer frame put some kind of loctite on the pin.

I will have to look at the next gun show to see if there is one I can handle before deciding what to do. It sounds like they addressed all the complaints people had with the glock’s frame.

They also sell them as 100%frames so you dont have to actually do any of the work . And I believe this year the just started doing complete guns (100% not glock glocks)

Edit: NVM went searching after I posted and apparently Glock store makes one.

That's not bad for a complete upper especially since it's not an OEM barrel

So I broke down and bought a couple of these things. Built a 17-22 ( 22 caliber conversion kit) and a model 35 out of them. Test fired them today. They are actually pretty nice feeling. The 22LR is pretty fun, not as fun as my SS framed 1911 22 but close.
