Getting involved I an altercation when armed is your decision . if you truly think that someone's life is in danger do what you must. Just understand when you pull a pistol your life is void so its up to you wheather or not you want to risk your life to end a fight.

Police officers recieve extensive training on how to respond when off duty, mostly geared towards not getting shot by responding on-duty officers.

Lets blame the guy who got shot .. The presence of a firearm is not legitimate reason to believe a crime is being committed or that an act of violence is about to be committed ... PLAN AND SIMPLE! I will never comprehend how so many "Pro 2A" supporters surrender to the notion the police are justified in this type of action. People carry legal guns and the police should be held responsible for their knee jerk reactions to the presence of firearms.
