Yup, round and round it goes. And I am certainly in support of the idea that "shall not be infringed" means exactly that, that the government has no business regulating this stuff, anyone not in prison should be able to carry everywhere. BUT, being realistic, there's no way we're going to be carrying into courtrooms.And what happens when that armed enforcement is the cause of the issues?
Given that reality, then we should look at the historic rate of LEOs who guard courtrooms shooting up courtrooms. I'm guessing it's near-zero.
You should view my argument as being prefaced by "if we are going to have gun-free zones, then...". It's not a tacit acceptance of gun-free zones, it's a recognition of the reality that they do indeed exist.
