Yup, round and round it goes. And I am certainly in support of the idea that "shall not be infringed" means exactly that, that the government has no business regulating this stuff, anyone not in prison should be able to carry everywhere. BUT, being realistic, there's no way we're going to be carrying into courtrooms.

Given that reality, then we should look at the historic rate of LEOs who guard courtrooms shooting up courtrooms. I'm guessing it's near-zero.

You should view my argument as being prefaced by "if we are going to have gun-free zones, then...". It's not a tacit acceptance of gun-free zones, it's a recognition of the reality that they do indeed exist.

As far as I'm aware, that is perfectly legal. Though, I'm not a lawyer, but from a jury stand point, I'd say no wrong doing was being committed.

I don`t know. Kind of weird they have NO FIREARMS ALLOWED posted inside every post office, yet how do you walk in there to mail a firearm that is not allowed on or in the property of the post office in the first place. Sure seems like a catch 22 game to me.

No! If it’s a long gun, it’s mailable in one piece (unless short barrel).
If it’s a pistol, a finished frame isn’t mailable, even by itself. Every other part is mailable. 80% frames used to be mailable but since Biden’s latest rounds of ATF rule making I don’t know. You can mail slides and parts kits all day long. You have to private ship pistols or their frames (FedEx or UPS or whatever and check their rules).

That law determination mentioned in the OP was stayed and does not take effect. It remains illegal to possess a firearm on PO property.

Yes, even the federal judge ruling applies to the post office, state law may apply . So those signs would have the force of law either way . But the parking lot thing is big , And those signs are often not visible until one is already inside the building

If you go to the post office for services they do not provide you are in violation. If you are there for official business, what ever the USPS provides you are good?
