Masks keep you from SPREADING not AQUIRERING disease.
One sneeze, cough, loogy, eye rub, urine, fecal......on someones hand....then on counter....you touch counter....then face.....bam Covid.
One arrent breath floating by your stupid loose fitting cloth mask....bam Covid.
One of the 80% of people I see with the mask covering their mouth but under their nose....useless....bam Covid.

The masks are nice distraction and make people feel good but not very effective.
I wear masks every day during surgery. Not for what the patient will do to me, but what I could do to the patient. Common knowledge in the surgical world......very common. If an animal has a virus which is communicable to humans, we dress out in complete PPE.....gown, gloves, booties, N95 mask, shield and pump the room full of Propolene Glycol. Then disinfect room and self.

This is why I don’t trust other people and wear masks. I basically only wear n95s or kn95s, have the masks on a rotation of a full week each, and wash my hands as the first thing I do when I get in. Then, I wipe down the phone itself and let it sit in a box with some UV light exposure for a good 20 minutes. (And I try to keep the nose wire as conformed as possible on the masks, so my breath isn’t escaping it. For other people mostly since anything rigid is pressurized when breathing in.)
None of these are full proof. It’s all about reduction. To myself and to others. My house isn’t a clean room or an operating table, but I take it seriously even if others aren’t.

This can only go poorly with the media as they will jump all over Him not being careful/reckless/whatever and IF he gets over it without issues, a rumor/conspiracy will start saying He received a "secret potion/treatment" not available to the public and thousands died because it was not made available. Going to be interesting on how the campaign manager's adjust to this.
