If this guy managed to get past the secret service, then Trump better ditch all of the secret service for private security.
I don't normally arm chair weigh in on this stuff, but there is no way this wasn't a total failure. Sure, Trump didn't die. But it was close.
And someone innocent did die, so it was a failure to stop the attempt. A failure at being obviously prepared.
Biden needs to be doing more than saying "cool it down." He needs to be on the war path to make sure this cannot happen again.

With the rhetoric coming from the media that "democracy is at stake" and "if Trump wins the world is going to end", I think most of us on this site would have been surprised if there *wasn't* an attempt on his life before the election.
You can't take a country full of left wing whackadoodles add in a generous helping of that sort of over the top rhetoric and stir without expecting this.
I'll be surprised if there isn't another attempt.
