Playing devil's advocate here. Is it possible it is just normal to clear the area so close to Trump anyway? Then the question would be how did those spectators get so close to begin with if they keep a certain area clear.

When I was watching it on the boob tube. They didn’t look like spectators. Looked like news photographers. Probably cleared it with SS to get a few photos from the side, then were sent back to be with the rest of the news crews in the inner perimeter,

Reminds me of the time a while back where they ran a story about this 16ish year old kid using his dad's AR to defend himself against 3 home invaders. If I remember right 2 of the 3 got shot and 1 of them died. The family of the home invaders were all up in arms saying "ar15s are unfair". I laughed at that. Yeah, that's entirely the point. If someone breaks into my home I don't want a fair fight. I want every advantage to win a battle with the scumbags.

One of the reports says a local LEO climbed the ladder and had the rifle aimed at him. He retreated down the ladder and put it out on the emergency radio frequency. The SS didnt respond to the threat and allowed the shooter to get off 7 rounds before the SS sniper, who apparently already had the fucker in his sights, fired back. This was not an accident, or a break down in security protocol, it was a deliberate attempt by the deep state to take out Trump. They will try again, they apparently dont care that we know. This whole fucking thing is so blatant.So many seen and warned and LE didn’t see or do nothing.
The problem with this senecio is: if someone succeeds in their attempt to take out Trump, the political fringe on both sides will declare open season on all politicians, and political appointees, state, local and federal. It won’t be pretty either

What I read was the officer that basically came face to face with him was scaling the building.
When he reached the top shooter spotted him and started turning the rifle on him. Said he could not reach his weapon being his hands were occupied with the climb. I’m sure in the tactical world they have a procedure for this.
Again building wasn’t covered.

How much of the SC opinion did you read?
Did you read Sotomayor's dissent, or follow any of the arguments presented before the court?
The dissent is rarely interesting. However, her’s was way out in left field and beyond the pale. IMO she was being overtly dramatic for the attention she would get from it.
The checks on the president are impeachment for high crimes and misdemeanor by the house and conviction by the senate.
bribery, murder and everything she was “warning about” would fall into those this items in the jurisdiction of the Congress.
In another note, she obviously doesn’t understand how the military works. Murdering someone just because you don't like them is an illegal order.
