Funding provided by sportsmen's and sportswomen's dollars made available from the Pittman-Robertson Act will be available to encourage the development and improvement of shooting ranges. ... This program will provide matching grants at a 3:1 ratio to eligible non-profit or municipal shooting ranges across the state.
last i looked into this .. it has to be a open to the public range ( gun Club ) .. we would like you to join , but don't have to ..
i don't think this will help any with indoor gun ranges .. aka businesses
and of Coarse at this time the NY GOV website is not responding ..
Although I freely admit INDOOR RANGES are practical, and are all that is generally available to me, only OUTDOOR RANGES work for Black Powder - my explosive of choice.
Public indoor ranges exist; in New York even. Coyne Park Rifle and Pistol Range is part of a municipal park in Yonkers just over the border from the Bronx.
Not expecting to see a huge immediate impact in NY but it’s good to see this bill finally pass.
But you cannot bring your bump stocks or suppressors.....and may get red flagged if you make an off comment.
Because, as we know, Trump believes....."take the guns first, then due process".
