I'm going to be honest I'm fairly new to reloading, 30-06, and the Garand. What little I do know is that without an adjustable gas plug its not a great idea to shoot modern hunting loads through this old ass rifle. At a quick glance both those powders look like they're designed more for 6.5 Creedmoor. The reloader17 has a recipe for 30-06 but it looks like a hot load at 3000fps.
