Yes and no. The way it’s written unless you have a total lack of trust for the government like we do it can sound pretty good to a person. I was sent a survey on this and they tried to guilt trip you into saying it was good. Those were like oh don’t you think a women who was raped by her father should be able to abort a baby, don’t you think people your grandparents age deserve to be treated fairly, don’t you think a kid who wants to commit suicide can get treatment for being trans. Most people think this is about equity and being treated the same by the government and that’s what my survey said. We know it’s so they can restrict freedoms but most don’t. Shame on them for trusting but that’s how it will pass and they know it.

While the pedo angle smacks of some wacko demagoguery, I don’t believe that irreversible or potentially irreversible treatments should be made available in this way. I might be more friendly to this but for the fact that trans identification seems to be almost kind of a fad and a poor diagnosis for other mental illness such as depression, etc. While I myself am bi and consider myself an ally to other LGBT+ folks as well as the mental illness community, this does nothing in terms of dealing with a real issue, and is a pandering sort of window dressing with life-altering consequences. This bill is a notably poor idea.

I'll be in jail for a LONG time before I let any of these perversions ever affect my daughter or dictate my ability to be a proper parent. The government will never have a say in how I care for my child or the morals I wish to instill in my daughter.

It’s already done. NYS has allowed this and parents can do nothing about it. Best is they can do certain things now starting at13 without the parent even knowing. The only reason I o ow this is about two years ago my son needed a medical consult for surgery and the place said if you want to be in the room with him you will need a health care proxy signed by him allowing that. We said come again what are you talking about and what I said is what we learned.
