Pulsar KRYPTON FXG50 features new 640×480 @ 12 µm US-made sensor. Combined with a 50mm focus lens and an HD AMOLED display, it can detect objects up to 2300 meters away. The IPS7 batteries are said to offer up to 8 hours of operating time. There will be two versions, one monocular for spotting and one with an adaptor for your daytime scope

Pulsar are having a very busy year, with releases like the Trail 2 LRF XQ50 and XP50 Thermal Riflescopes and the Axion XQ Series Thermal Spotters. Now it's time for Pulsar's first-ever Thermal Vision Front Attachment, the Pulsar KRYPTON FXG50.

The FXG50 is the rifle scope and this unit has excellent sensor optics 12um 640x480 (basically top of the line for non-military applications),,,,my question would be,,,,,, If this unit is mounted to the front of your scope and you dialed the magnification of the scope up,,,,,would it be blurry like what happens to a normal thermal scope when turn the magnification up?

This might be a question for Shoots100 being that he has been around Thermals more than me but if someone else knows,,,please share.

These units are meant to be used with low magnification, usually around 4X.
If the price point is good and it hold's POI, it should do well.
Now I'm going to be going into my 2022 budget !!!!

Price point maybe ok for you but I saw something mentioned that it was going to be roughly 4k

I've be burnt for much more when I wanted to be the first guy on the block with a new thermal do it all gizmo.
I've stayed away from clip ons, after having bumped them when moving around and missing shots because of being out in the field and not being able to check zero without firing a shot at a target.
With that crap lingering in the back of my head every time I headed into the field, I decided to stick with QD weapon mounted NV optics.
Plus, the clip on could only be mounted on a dedicated rifle, with a precisely matched forward rail.
If the krypton lives up to it's claims, I'll probably get one.

You wouldn't think it would cost $4 thousand dollars to ship something to a different town in the same state !
It looks like it's going to be almost $5k for the krytpon, so I'll stick with the XP38 for awhile.
