Purchaseing a WW2 Relic

I've come into the rare occasion to purchase a WW2 "war souvenir" Problem is the gun is New Jersey.
As far as I have been told it is unregistered and there is no paper trail. Would I be able to transfer this gun from NJ to NY via a FFL?

Yes, have the current owner take it to his local dealer in NJ, then that dealer can ship to your NY dealer. Is it an NFA weapon?

That "rule" no longer exists. If it is legal in your resident state and the (non resident) state you are physically buying in....you can buy any shotgun or rifle in any of the 50 states.

You are required to do a background check to (legally) transfer guns across any state line.
