Yes keep it short mine was a few sentences, I dont remember what I wrote .they probably don't want to read a novel when they get the letters. Moreover the less you say the less you can say wrong.
Unless you buy serious safe most are only good for keeping kids hands off guns. Most safes can be pryed open faster then you can open it with the combo.
