They yeah and a BP pistol with none of the loading components is not considered anything so yes a 5 year old can have. They sure as hell cannot have one in new York if they have the loading components.

We are talking about guns. New York does not consider "antique firearms" as guns until they have the loading components.

So trying to talk about just a BP pistol is pointless in this thread

I think it does .. to blow the mind of a dumb teacher .. .. yes if you dont have the parts to load and shoot it .. "but its a pistol" OMG .. but you can do the same with any long gun and load it and shoot .. there is no age on gifting a gun to your kid of any age .. that's the point

I never stated that they couldn't I just pointed out a different number than 18 which OP stated one had to be to own a gun because he was blasting his teacher for not knowing gun laws.

Yeah some students replied to the comments on my profile saying that guns have more rights than women and I pretty much stated what you said. What dumbasses. Like you can be ignorant but these kids are now just being plain stupid. They’re lost causes.

They're not entirely lost causes. They may be able to see reason but it's going to take time and effort.

You can gift a gun just like any other gift, as long as it's truly a gift. It's provided for in the 4473 form. Read the instructions on page 4 for answering question 11a.

This is just the Federal form though. It doesn't take into account any local/state laws like we have here in NY. I can't gift you a firearm without us doing a background check, but I can gift a firearm to my Father or Wife or Kids without BGC.
