Q-Poll: NYers Mixed On A Cuomo Presidential Campaign

New Yorkers have a mixed assessment of whether Gov. Andrew Cuomo should run for president in 2020, a Quinnipiac University poll released on Tuesday found.

Voters by a 50 percent to 43 percent margin believe Cuomo should be a national leader in challenging incoming President Donald Trump’s policies, which the governor has signaled he plans to do when it comes to issues like immigration.

But at the same time, most voters — 56 percent to 36 percent — believe Cuomo should not run for president in 2020. And most voters, 54 percent to 36 percent, do not think Cuomo would make a good president.

However, voters do believe a Cuomo presidential run would be good for the state, 53 percent to 29 percent. At the same time, 48 percent of voters believe Cuomo staking out an anti-Trump position would be good for New York.

Let's think logically here. Upstate NY is incredibly representative of the rest of America that voted and elected Donald Trump as the 45th president of the US of A.

Astorino won 46 counties in NYS.
Monkeyface won 16 counties in NYS.

The counties monkeyface won were for the most part the city and upstate cities. Urban areas vote D, just as we saw this historic Nov 8th!!

Let monkeyface abandon his gubernatorial position and subsequently beat down on the national stage!

I think he is less likable than Hillary. His manner of speaking and general demeanor is condescending to almost every person who isn't an uber liberal. I have never yet heard him give a speech where he wasn't shouting and screeching at the people. The state is a disaster, corruption surrounds him. No chance in my opinion. From a poll...taken in liberal population centers. People need to look outside ny. This state is not in good shape. And if you talk to people outside ny the viewpoint is that the state is a cesspool. I'm all for a cuomo run. Get him out of ny and he will fail miserably.

Sure Andy should run. Anything to deplete his resources as he loses. Politics has become a war of attrition.

Consider this, Trump invested a lot of his earned money to win his campaigns. Trump's empire is based upon real estate and casino's. Every liberal who has ever paid rent to the Trump Empire or dropped a dime at the casino contributed to his win. Consider the public assistance people with EBT cards who visit the casinos, it's economic recovery. Trumps win is the ultimate capitalist victory against socialism and income redistribution.
