Question About Storage

I've been looking for a convenient options for storing my pistols in preparation for my escape from NY. I came across this 15 pistol case. A little pricey, but the alternative is a 5 pistol case, and I'd need three of them which brings the price close to the same.

Anyone have experience with the Case Club? If not, recommendations would be welcomed.

I have a bigger version of this case for rifles + pistols that I put all my airsoft guns in because I don't want someone thinking they're real and brandishing them. Anything that looks like a gun gets locked up because I want plausible deniability.

That being said, the material is pretty on-par with Pelican from what I can tell. Feels solid. The foam is a little clunky, but it is generally pre-cut and you pull it out in parts. When I emailed them questions they responded right away.

It's basically what you'd expect for a high end case. The locking points are also reinforced with metal although tbh that doesn't matter much other than longevity of the point.

I was perusing that website for options and it seems all the larger pistol cases cost about the same price. It also checks off most of the right boxes, at least on paper. Thank you for the real world experience. Just what I was hoping for.

Horrible Freight has some pretty decent pellican knockoffs. They dont offer one that big but the cost difference one could buy multiple and be far ahead.
Still not as pricey as the Pellican but there is also Milwaukee packout. Its top notch shit and does not look like a "gun box" which may have advantages.

If I were you I would go with the three 5-pistol cases. Outside of moving when will you use this or drag the 15-pistol case out, but you might use the smaller ones independently. Also if you so chose to you could sell some of the 5-pistol cases off of you didn’t need three in the future.

I would just bring 15 pistols to the range each week.

Watch what type of foam the case is made of (inside). Denser closed cell foam is better and last longer. Cheaper open cell foam wick away oil, decomposes and sometimes sticks to the gun.

I use the above VOC/VCI storage bags for handguns and mags (long term storage). I'll put them a storage case and into the safe. If I'm shipping I add a little padding outside the bag in the same case and it doesn't rattle about. The cases also hold a couple of mags. (I throw out the ammo inserts and never store any ammo.

I like your case selection but would put my handguns into the plastic bags for long term storage in that case.

I also use a long term storage protectant. Firearms and mags torn down and treated with TLC before I tuck them in.

The only bad thing is the firearms need a good cleaning to take off excess CLP after storage. So they're not ready to rock and roll straight out of the storage case.
