Question About Ulster County Judge

My 21 year old son applied for an Ulster County permit. He got his letter saying he has to meet with Judge Keri Savona. Of course they scheduled it when he is in school 4.5 hours away on a day he has class. He will try to get another date when he doesn't have class or over Thanksgiving break. Does anyone know anything about this judge?
