Question on owning BP handguns

I was looking to order a reproduction percussion cap muzzleloading pistol, I know owning an antique one is fine as long as you don't plan to shoot it then you have to get it registered on a pistol permit, but I don't know if it also applies to a functional reproduction or do I have to get it registered right off the bat.

Reproductions count the same as the originals. No need to register as long as you don't have the components to load it.

buy any BP over the counter cash n carry, mail order to your door if you can find a place to ship to FUAC land , no nics .. you just can't have the stuff to shoot it .. if you don't have a PP permit ..
