QUICK question...private sales of long guns

So when I make an offer on anything, I assume the guy understands that I'm interested and it is the opening for negotiations. Never ever had some one tell me they wouldn't sell me something because the initial offer was too low. What next, he didn't like your shoes?

I think it depends on the offer made. The OP didn’t make a stupidly low offer. Some guys do, and those are the ones I lose interest in selling to rapidly. If you offer half of asking price or less, you are officially a woodchuck, and not worth my time.

Well, if the asking price is twice what its actual value is, your a chipmunk and not worth my time and no offer would be made.
